The characteristic analyses of the main elements, rare earth elements and trace elements show that the volcanic rocks in Yingcheng Formation of North Songliao Basin belong to high-K caic-alkalic and shoshonite/patas- slum basalt series; the light and heavy rare-earth elements have fractionated obviously in the acid rocks of the for- mation, other kinds of the rocks have not deficit strongly, these indications hint that the fractional crystallization of plagioclase, apatite and ilmenite have occurred; the tectonic environment illustrations identify that the genesis of the rocks are close to the lithospheric delamination-thinning and asthenospheric mantle upwelling resulted from the subduction of the Pacific Plate i. e. the magmatic activity in the environment of the spread within the plate under the action of the subduction ; within the unified Pacific tectonic domain, the left-lateral slip in the northern segment of Tanlu Fault in Early Cretaceous Period also controls the basement reformation and volcanic rock distribution of the basin to a certain extent.
