The aim of analytical quality monitoring and control in the whole process in laboratories is to control the analytical error within a permitted limit in order to ensure the analytical data within a given confidence level and meet the quality requirements. According to the standards from the geology and mineral industry and referring to the related specifications, a quality control system for inorganic analysis in groundwater contamination survey was developed. The systems were discussed from five aspects in details in this paper. The new quality control system has been applied to the inorganic component analysis in groundwater contamination survey project with satisfactory results.
