In consideration of some impact factors of arid surface and outcrops of bedrocks, difficulties of earth connection between electrodes and power supply in the study area, the central gradient array method of dual-frequency IP (induce polarization) method was used in this area. According to the composed features of delineated IP anomalies, classification and comprehensive interpretation of the IP anomalies have been made for distinguishing the interference anomalies from the metallogenic (mineralized) bodies and carbonaceous beds to determinate the positions for surface exploration. The results obtained by geological exploration and interpretation of the IP anomalies are almost the same in delineation of metallogenic bodies and non-mineralized bodies, based on the distribution and the composed features of IP anomalies under some conditions.
