Guangdong Province is one of the important mineral sites for rare-earth resources in China. The ion adsorption type is the most characteristic of the rare-earth deposits in the province. The ore-bearing protolith is broadly distributed, with favorable metallogenic conditions. Based on the research of the metallogenic features, this paper preliminarily summarizes the ore-forming regularities of the ion adsorption type of rare-earth deposits from the aspects of ore-controlling conditions, distribution and enrichment of orebodies to establish the regional metallogenic model.
