摘要
The Keketale Pb-Zn ore deposit, one of the largest Pb-Zn deposits in Xinjiang, is located in the Maizi basin on the southern margin of the Altai Mountains. This work has deployed two 2-D survey lines in this mine area for data collection and processing of the large-loop transient electromagnetic (TEM) sounding. The purpose is to delineate deep ore bodies in terms of electromagnetic anomalies observed. The drilling verification to anomaly interpretation shows that the low-resistivity anomalies from inversion results correspond well to the locations of real ore bodies in the subsurface. And spatial distribution of electric resistivity values coincides with extension of ore bodies at depth and stratum inclination direction. These results provide evidence for appraisal of resource potential of this deposit. And the trial survey using the TEM technique in this area can serve as a reference for similar work at other deposits.
