By recent geology exploration, a significant breakthrough in geological prospecting has been achieved in Baiyun gold deposit located in gold metallogenetic domain of Liaodong rift. The newly discovered gold orebodies occurred in both east-west Si-K altered rock belt and interlaminar fracture zone, assuming stratoid forms, veins, and lentils hosts. Ore textures are anhedral granular, euhedral-subhedral granular, droplet-shaped, sphaerolitic, and gelatineous, etc. （）re structures are lumpy, disseminated, veinlet-stockwork, banded-striped, speckled, and brecciated, etc. Gold mineral occurrence are mainly inclusion gold, gap gold, fissure gold in the form of irregular granular, veinlet, dendritic distributions. The genetic type is of sedimentary metamorphic high - mesothermal transformation gold deposit. We not only found one large gold deposit, but also discovered new gold genetic type （Si-K altered rock type gold deposit）. Discovery of the new type gold deposit shows the direction for searching Si-K altered rock type gold deposit and seeking breakthrough in new geological prospecting.
