Tuosibasitao diorite, which is located in Laoshankou iron-copper-gold ore deposit field, the northern margin of Junggar, Xinjiang, intruded in early carboniferous. The diorites show that the content of SiO2 is from 51.8% to 55.5%, Na2O+K2O from 6.68% to 9.57%, and K2O/Na2O from 1.12 to 1.31, which belongs to metaluminous shoshinitic series. They display high concentrations of Ba and Sr, low concentrations of Y and Yb, noticeable negative anomaly of Nb, Ta, P and Ti, and positive anomaly of LREE, Th, U and Pb, and little abnormity of δEu (0.87-1.09).These features, together with the regional geology characteristics, indicate that Tuosibasitao diorite is formed under a subducted tectonic setting. Furthermore, the Tuosibasitao diorite is contributed to the Laoshankou iron-copper-gold ore deposit.
