Fore-arc sedimentary system, located to the southern side of Shang-dan fault belt, and separated from the Devonian Liuling group of the south Qinling belt by ductile shear zone on the southern side,is well investigated to study the kinematic of subduction of Yangtze plate to north Qinling orogenic belt. Fore-arc sedimentary system is highly deformed with NNE-dipping foliation and dipping mineral stretching lineation. Folds and faults are well developed in this area due to southward thrusting. Mineral deformation thermometer and quartz C-axis fabric are used to estimate deformation temperature of mylonite and mica quartz schist. The result showed that deformation temperature is concentrated between 400 ℃ -500℃. Considering its tectonic location, we think that it was formed in fore-arc sedimentary background, then undergone thrust from north to south along Shang-Dan fault belt due to subduction of Yangtze plate to north Qinling orogenic belt, and experienced left strike-slip of Shang-Dan shear zone lately.
