Based on the 23 field section data on the basin margin and a mass of drilling data, the authors systematically make a lithofacies-paleogeographical map from Member 5 to Member 1 of the Shiqianfeng Formation and study the distribution features and spatio-temporal evolution of the lithofacies and paleogeography. The research reveals that the Shiqianfeng Formation in the study area has south and north trend source characteristics. From the north to the center of the lake, there are the paleogeographic distribution features, that is, alluvial plain-delta plain-delta front-shallow lake. And from the south to the center of the lake basin, so are the paleogeographic distribution features. In the paleogeographical evolution process from Member 5 to Member 1 of the Shiqianfeng Formation, the biggest lake flood was in Member 3 of the Shiqianfeng Formation. The paleogeographic distribution features also reveal plane and spatiotemporal distribution features of the sandbody.
