Based on the analyses of sediment, OSL dating, grain size, magnetic susceptibility of lake sediments from core ZK1 in Qingtu Lake, the northwestern margin of Tengger desert, this paper reconstructs the history of lake evolution since late Middle Pleistocene. The results indicate that Qingtu Lake experienced dry-cold and warm-wet climates in Middle Pleistocene, warm-wet and dry-cold climates in Late Pleistocene, which is accorded with climate cycle characteristics of the last glaciation and last interglaciation in MIS.
