摘要
The deposits of Huanglong jade are distributed in Xiaohei mountain area of Longling,Baoshan,Yunnan,China.The ore bodies occur on the slate-granite contact zone of Gongyanghe group of Triassic system.Since paleozoic era,outcropping occurs on other stratum except those in carboniferous,paleogene and neogene.The magmatic activities are frequent in this mining area,and the magmatic intrusion is multiperiodic and multistage.The chemical composition of Huanglong jade is mainly SiO2,and its mineral composition includes quartz,chalcedony and opal.The relative density is 2.65~2.70g/cm3,the index of refraction is 1.54~1.56,the color causing ion is Fe3+,main cause of color is endogenous oxidation,and it has cryptocrystalline-microgranular texture,massive structure,banded structure and brecciated structures.This paper elaborates on geological characteristics,gemmological characteristics and quality characteristics of Huanglong jade,and compares with similar gem and jade(tianhuang stone and yellow jade).The findings possess a certain reference value to gem identification in the market.
