Combining ore-forming geological environment in the ore district with soil geochemical characteristics, the authors evaluated the soil geochemical element association in the area by using the index of geoaccumulation. On the basis of a comprehensive analysis, favorable exploration targets were delineated, and field inspection and engineering verification were carried out. The results show that the Chennangou molybdenum deposit is a hydrothermal deposit related to Laojunshan granite rock, and both the edge and the outer contact zone of Yanshanian Hongyanzhai granite rock are favorable positions of molybdenum enrichment.
