Metallogenic Characteristics and Prospecting Indicators of the Pantuoshan Tungsten Deposit, Inner Mongolia, China
摘要
The Pantuoshan granite lies in the uplift zone of the passive continental margin, north to the suture zone between the Tarim and Kazakhstan plates, where a new tungsten deposit was discovered years ago. The tungsten ore bodies can be divided into contact zone type and quartz veinlet-type. The contact zone type tungsten ore bodies lie in the inner contact zone of the Pantuoshan granite, controlled by the inner contact zone and NE faults. The quartz veinlet-type tungsten ore bodies are controlled by NE,EW and NW faults. The ore mineralization is obvious zonated, the molybdenite ore bodies underlain the tungsten ore bodies. Combined with regional geological setting and the geological characteristics of the deposit, the authors suggest that the indicators for this type of tungsten deposit in this area include: the activated ancient continental crust, tungsten geochemical anomaly,S-type granite, inner contact zone,wall-rock alteration( tourmalinization, greisenization, silicification, etc.),quartz vein, granitic aplite dyke and direct mineralization clues.
