On the basis of a classical statistical theory, the paper presents a quantitative method to evaluate availability based on comparison of sections and carries out quantitative evaluation on availability applying CSAMT in the Fenghuangshan copper deposit, Anhui Province. The results show that there is a higher degree of availability on 13 exploration sections. Then, it means that the method is effective on prospecting and can be selected as a major geophysical method for deep prospecting in the Fenghuangshan copper deposit.
