摘要
Based on the field study, this paper carried out petrology and petro-geochemistry study of Seerdeng granites in West Junggar Basin, which formed during the Late Paleozoic, formation mechanism and tectonic significance. The results show that Seerdeng granite was I-type granites, which formed in a post-collisional extension setting, and resulted from the partial melting of basical substance of lower crust, with a circumstance of relativelt thin continental crust, and the the heat energy for partial melting was provided by the underplating of asthenosphere basaltic magmas. The study provides the evidence for Late Carboniferous crustal material and re-allocation process(crustal evolution) in the West Junggar Basin.
