摘要

The conference on Latin-American geology was organized by the Department of Geology and the Institute of Latin-American Studies of The University of Texas. The purpose of the conference was to bring together workers in the field of Latin-American geology in order to survey the present state of knowledge and to focus attention on those areas in which more investigation and research is needed.
