摘要

The European and Mediterranean Commission for Water Plan-ning(EMCWP)and the Hellenic Government with the collabo-ration of the United Nations(ONU), the United Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization(UNESCO), the Commis-sion of the European Communities(CEC), the International Association of Hydrogeologists(IAH), the European Institu-te for Water(EIW), and the Mediterranean Institute for Wa-ter(MIW), organized this conference, under the promising title, “Water in the year 2000”. We express our gratitude for their help and we apologize for the distance between the expected and the finally obtained results.
