Synthesized complexes [PdI3(PTA-R)] (R = H, Me, Et, nPr, nBu) are water-soluble. Crystal structure of the [PdI3(PTA-Me)] featuring a square planar geometry. The complexes belong to the zwitterionic compounds. The complexes catalyze Heck reaction.
