The Delinggou intrusion was formed in an active continental margin. The major rocks of the Delinggou intrusion were emplaced at 330–340 Ma. The southward subduction of the Paleo-Asian Ocean occurred in the late Paleozoic. The Paleo-Asian Ocean was most likely closed in late Permian and even early Triassic.
