In situ synthesis of CdS decorated titanate nanosheets with highly efficient visible-light-induced photoactivity

The titanate nanosheets (TNS) were synthesized by a short hydrothermal reaction time.

CdS decorated TNS were prepared via ion-exchange and in situ sulfuration process.

The composites show enhanced photocatalytic efficiency and stability.

Their catalytic activity is higher than that of the CdS/titanate nanotubes.

The quick migration of charge carriers in CdS/TNS increased the photoactivity.
