To evaluate ecological environment of river system in suburbs of Beijing efficiently, Pressure-State-Response model theory was explained, comprehensive assessment index system and fuzzy probability assessment model were built. The proposed methodologies have been used to assess ecological environment of famous Andamu river folk-customtourism area of Beijing, China. Modeling results concluded that the naturalness level of ecological environment within the study area can be divided into 4 grades: (I) Natural degree; (II) Near-natural degree; (III) Degraded degree; (IV) Artificial degree. The total ecological environment state of Andamu river belonged to degraded degree, which signified restoration measures were needed urgently. Decision Support System (DSS) of river ecological environment assessment was also built by programming Visual Basic language to help visualize the distribution of different ecological environment naturalness grades of studied river system. The assessing results fit the field survey well and can be used for restoration and future management of river system. Restoration measures for different ecological environment levels were also recommended.
