Grazing exclusion impacted vegetation, soil nutrient and soil bacteria. Perennial bunchgrasses and Poaceae may be a restoration indicator of grassland. Actinobacteria and Proteobacteria are main bacteria taxa in semiarid grasslands. Changes of dominant bacteria taxa may regulate the soil C and N content. Long-term grazing exclusion had negative effects on the diversity of soil bacteria.
