Dense and ultrafine Al2O3/EAG eutectic is prepared by laser floating zone melting.

Solid-liquid interface is obtained by rapid quenching and it stability is studied.

The pulling rate has almost no effect on lamellae spacing in quenched regions.

Obtaining the maximum solidification rate of the eutectic during rapid quenching.
