Crustal-scale orogen-perpendicular structures occur in the central Tasmanides. Structures accommodated multiple episodes of Paleozoic deformation. Fault kinematic indicators show dextral, sinistral and reverse motions. Crustal and lithospheric thickness variations occur across the structures. The structures were possibly associated with lithospheric segmentation.
