The moderating effects of positive psychological strengths on the relationship between parental anxiety and child depression: The significance of father's role in Hong Kong
Both paternal and maternal anxiety plays an important role to child depression. Positive psychological strengths can buffer paternal impact on child depression. The moderating effect is not significant for mothers. Paternal and maternal anxiety is significantly associated with each other. Fathers' support may provide better maternal mental health and child psychological development.
