Retrieval of seasonal Rubisco-limited photosynthetic capacity at global FLUXNET sites from hyperspectral satellite remote sensing: Impact on carbon modelling
Seasonal photosynthetic capacity retrieved for 296 global FLUXNET sites. Pioneer method combines satellite broadband and hyperspectral detection. Pronounced seasonal cycle in capacity exists for nearly all vegetation classes. Both spatial and temporal variability in capacity are important for modelled GPP. Poorly known biochemical empirical relations currently limit the method.
