The Olkhon terrane is a collisional collage of chaotically mixed tectonic units. It comprises several complexes of Palaeoproterozoic through Cambrian ages. The rock complexes of the Olkhon terrane formed in different tectonic settings. All pre-collisional complexes have their analogues in the northern CAOB.
