The method is useful to quantify reservoir pressure along the path of horizontal wells in heterogeneous formations. This method allows to allocate properly multistage hydraulic fracturing based on fracturability and reservoir pressure. Application of the model can help improve completion of the well, hydraulic fracturing design, and reservoir management. The model is applicable for conventional and complex lithological scenarios such as those encountered in Shale Plays.
