An early Neoproterozoic collisional event (935–942 Ma) is reported in the Yangtze craton.

Siliceous and carbonaceous mylonitic rocks were deposited in a fore-arc setting.

Mylonitic metasandstone formed in the foredeep.

Detrital zircons show positive εHf(t) values, consistent with ophiolitic rocks.
