Herein we report the construction of a robust metal-metalloporphyrin framework that is based upon a rare secondary building unit of infinite nickel oxide chain. The constructed MMPF-20 exhibits permanent porosity and selective adsorption of CO₂ over CH₄ as well as demonstrates interesting catalytic performances in the context of olefin epoxidation.
