摘要
A simple and selective method for the determination of dopamine (DA) using Iso- ctyl phenoxy polyethoxy ethanol (TX-100) modified carbon paste electrode is described. The TX-100 modified carbon paste electrode showed excellent electrocatalytic activity towards the oxidation of dopamine in an acetate buffer solution of pH 5.5 by cyclic voltammetric technique (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The electrode process was controlled by both adsorption and diffusion. The effects of surfactant concentration and immobilization time variation were studied. Interference of ascorbic acid (AA) was tested on the modified electrode and it was found that selective detection of dopamine can be achieved. In differential pulse voltammetric measurements (DPV), the TX-100 modified carbon paste electrode could separate the oxidation peak potentials of DA and AA present in the same solution by about 300 mV while the bare electrode just gave a single broad response. The detection limit for DA was found to be 3.0 脳 10鈭?#xA0;8 M. This modified electrode showed very good selectivity, sensitivity and antifouling properties. The proposed method was applied for the detection of dopamine in biological samples.
