Cross-sections for formation of up>99mup>Tc through up>natup>Ru(n,x) up>99mup>Tc reaction induced by neutrons at 13.5 and 14.8 MeV

摘要
The cross-sections for formation of metastable state of up>99up>Tc (up>99mup>Tc, 140.511 keV, 6.01 h) through up>natup>Ru(n,x)up>99mup>Tc reaction induced by 13.5 MeV and 14.8 MeV neutrons were measured. Fast neutrons were produced via the up>3up>H(d,n)up>4up>He reaction on the K-400 neutron generator. Induced gamma activities were measured by a high-resolution gamma-ray spectrometer with a high-purity germanium (HpGe) detector. Measurements were corrected for gamma-ray attenuations, dead time and fluctuation of neutron flux. Data for up>natup>Ru(n,x)up>99mup>Tc reaction cross sections are reported to be 9.6卤1.5 and 9.2卤1.1 mb at 13.5卤0.2 and 14.8卤0.2 MeV incident neutron energies, respectively. Results were compared with the data by other anthors.
