<正>将年轻小鼠的血液输给年老小鼠会让后者的大脑恢复活力;相反,注射年老小鼠的血液会使年轻小鼠的认知能力下降。斯坦福大学的神经学教授Tony Wyss-Coray及其同事在几年前发现了这些惊人的现象。结果一经发表便引起了广泛关注和诸多猜测。血液中有什么神秘因子会影响衰老吗?经过数年探究,Wyss-Coray教授带领其研究团队锁定了一种蛋白质:血管细胞黏附分子1 (vascular cell adhesion molecule 1,VCAM1)。进一步研究表明,阻断VCAM1不仅可以对抗衰老血液的影响,而且无需输年轻血就可以让年老小鼠的大脑重返青春!这一结果于2019年5月13日发表在《Nature Medicine》上。
