摘要

本文对于中国城墙的起源、发展、演进过程做了梳理研究。城墙作为维护性要素在对于中国古代城市的发展起到了举足轻重的作用。城墙本体的功能是防御,但在中国古代特殊的"礼制"等级影响下,城墙系统纳入了中国古代文化的尊卑体系内,并结合中国城市格局的演进而不断发展。城墙在近现代火器出现后防御功能衰退以及城市内部现代化转型的重重中矛盾最终解体消亡。
        This paper reviews the origin,development and evolution of the Chinese city wall. As a maintenance factor, the city wall plays a decisive role in the development of ancient Chinese cities. The function of the wall is defense,but under the influence of the special"ritual system"level in ancient China, the city wall system is included in the system of the ancient Chinese culture, and it is continuously developed in conjunction with the evolution of the Chinese urban pattern. After the emergence of modern firearms, the decline of defense function and the internal transformation of the city,the city wall finally disappeared.
