In perspective of teachers' individual perception, an online survey has been conducted among1,014 visiting engineers from 43 colleges of Zhejiang Province who participated in Zhejiang Visiting Engineers Programs for the recent years. Accordingly, the teachers commonly agreed upon the good effects of the programs.Furthermore, the differences between the individuals' academic background, the specific visiting modes, the visited sites and visited mentors they chose in the place all have made some difference in their perceptions of the effects of the programs. Therefore, it is suggested that some methods and approaches can be adopted in several ways to boost the effects: furthering the incentive policy for the programs; setting down visiting sites in a cooperated way with the enterprises; selecting and employing qualified enterprise mentors; establishing the contents and time properly for the programs judging by the disciplines where the visiting engineers are from.
