摘要
Samuel Beckett is a master of the Theatre of Absurd. His plays, such as Waiting for Godot(1954)and Endgame(1958),project the irrationalism, helplessness, and absurdity of life in dramatic forms that reject realistic settings, logical reasoning,or a co-herently evolving plot. This thesis intends to interpret Endgame from the perspective of its themes and to help readers gain a betterunderstanding of the major issues confronted by a modern man in life.
