The parameters of sea bottom play an important role in the shallow water sound propagation, especially the low frequency sound propagation. Sea bottom's geoacoustic parameters and reflection-coefficient model in sound propagation is equivalent, so the influence of geoacoustic parameters in marine sediments on sound propagation is reflected by the reflection phase-shift parameter P and reflection loss parameter Q. The simulation results using the ray-mode sound propagation model based on the three-parameter sea-bottom model show that attenuation coefficient is an important parameter of sea bottom in the shallow water sound propagation, and the influence of attenuation coefficient in marine sediments on sound propagation is also related to density ratio and refractive index.
