摘要
Taxodium distichum is an important economic and ecological tree species in South China. This study was toanalyze and identify the chemical composition and antibacterial activity of volatile oil extracted from the leaves and fruits of Taxodium distichum. The volatile oil was extracted by hydro-distillation and filter paper diffusion method was used to detect the inhibitory activity against seven different bacteria. The yield of volatile oil from leaves and fruits were 0.211%(w/fw) and 0.657%(w/fw),respectively.The chemical compositions of the volatile oil wereanalyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS).The relative percentages of different chemical components was measured by peak area normalization. The results show that the volatile oil from the leaves and fruits were different in the chemical composition and relative content, but D-limonene was the highest component in both of them.Thirty-eight components were identified from the volatile oil of the leaves and eighteen components in the fruits.D-limonene(21.16%),1- methyl- 3- 1- methyle-Cyclohexen(14.03%) and Caryophyllene oxide(11.26%) were the major compounds in the volatile oil of leaves, while the major compounds in the fruits were D-Limonene(31.08%),Ferruginol(11.82%),5- ethylidene- 1-methyl-Cycloheptene(9.77%).The volatile oil from leaves and fruits showed strongest inhibitory activity against Staphylococcus haemolyticus and the inhibition zone diameter were(11.00 ± 1.00) mm and(20.00 ±1.00) mm,respectively. The followed was Ralstoniasolanacearum, which the inhibition zone diameter were(10.67 ±0.58) mm and(17.67 ±0.58) mm.It suggested that the antibacterial activity of the fruits volatile oil was significantly stronger than the leaves. The volatile oils were rich in Taxodium distichum leaves and fruits and they showed a certain antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus haemolyticus and Ralstonia solanacearum. These results would provide an important theoretical basis for the comprehensive development and utilization of Taxodium distichum.
