基于IEEE802.11的无线局域网技术的研究

摘要
现代通信发展的目标是个人通信,即不论是谁、不论在何处和不论什么时候,都能和希望联系的人进行包括语音、数据、视像在内的多业务通信。这就要求通信系统必须具有支持移动的能力,并且还应具有足够高的数据数率以支持各种类型的服务。在目前的几种移动数据传输方式中,只有无线局域网同时具有高数据速率和可移动性,它必然会成为未来个人通信网的重要组成部分。
     这篇论文主要对基于IEEE802.11标准系列的无线局域网的若干技术进行了研究,具体如下:
     1.简介了当前无线数据通信的发展状况;
     2.阐述了IEEE802.11无线局域网的系统组成和技术特点;
     3.分析了各种随机竞争型MAC协议的性能和特点,讨论了适用于无线局域网的MAC协议——CSMA/CA。并对各种MAC协议的吞吐量性能进行了仿真;
     4.针对物理层的特点,讨论了无线局域网的两种扩频技术——DSSS和FHSS,分析比较了两者的性能特点和适用的范围,并探讨了一种支持高数据数率的CCK调制方式以及使速率能达到16.5Mbps的CCK改进方案;
     5.对无线局域网终端卡的设计问题进行探讨。
     在进行了上面的工作后,以对后续工作的一些建议和对未来无线局域网发展的展望作为论文的结尾。
The goal of the modern communication is the realization of personal communication, which means that anyone can exchange any kind of information with whoever he want to contact anywhere at any time. So the mobility and the high speed are key techniques of the communication system. Among current mobile communication systems, only the WLAN supports the mobility and high speed so it must be an important part of the mobile communication system in the future.
    Some techniques of IEEE802.il WLAN will be studied in the dissertation, and the research includes:
    1.Introduced the development of current wireless data communications. 2.Expatiated on the constitutions and techniques of WLAN. 3 .analyzed the performances and characteristics of several stochastically competitive MAC protocols; then discussed the MAC protocol applied
    in WLAN--CSMA/CA and at last made some simulation on the
    throughputs of all MAC protocols discussed here. 4.Analyzed two types of spread spectrum(DSSS and FHSS) approved by the FCC based on the characteristic of PHY layer; then analyzed the characteristic and technology of the CCK modulation and at last put forward an improved CCK scheme that will increase the data rate of WLAN to 16.5Mbps. 5.Discussed the design of a WLAN card.
    At the end of the dissertation we made some advises for the future work and anticipate the development of the WLAN in the future.
