In order to make City w:st="on">Beijing to be a global city, it needs evaluating the responding regional engineering geological survey; correspondingly it is necessary to study and construct a scientific evaluation system. This evaluation system is composed of four sub-systems: central urban area, planning new urban area, village-town area, and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei metropolis circle. The working scales are 1∶5 000～1∶10 000, 1∶10 000～1∶25 000, 1∶25 000～1∶50 000 and 1∶50 000～1∶100 000, respectively.
