This paper summarizes the main types of geological hazards in Taiyuan City. It also analyzes the scale and genesis characteristics of geological disasters in Taiyuan City, summarizes the geological hazards and potential threats. Through the investigation and research of geological hazards prevention and mitigation measures both inside and outside Shanxi Province, especially in Taiyuan City in recent years, it proposes measures for hazards prevention and reduction of geological hazards.
