摘要
The Muping-Rushan belt situated in Eastern Shandong is one of the three main metallogenic belts in Shandong peninsula. The ore-controlling structure is characterized by a series of roughly parallel, distant NNE-trending faults.Comparison of the ore-controlling structures, metallogenic geochronology and geochemistry of the Muping-Rushan metallogenic belt with the gold deposits in its western metamorphic core complex suggests that they are syntectonic, coeval and cogenetic.A detachment fault, its secondary fault system developed in the upper side in particular, controls the occurrence of the gold deposits in the western area.It can be inferred that there may be a higher grade and thicker gold orebodies at depth, close to the detachment fault beneath the belt.
