In Hubei Province, the scales of the standard format regional geological maps include 1∶50 000, 1∶200 000 and 1∶500 000. According to foregoing scales, spatial database of regional geological maps is built, which comprised retrospective database and database from the digital geological mapping system. Built regional geologic maps database can provide query and retrieval files, extracted files from different layered, splicing, clipping, magnifying and outputting of the projects. By conditions retrieval, database can rapidly offer fundamental data for compiled various kinds of thematic maps, which makes use of data conveniently and quickly.
