Luliang uplift is a discontinuity successive paleo-uplift, and it is a favorable area for hydrocarbon accumulation. The structural framework of Luliang uplift was formed in the time from the Late Carboniferous to Early Permian Himalayan movement controlled the high mature petroleum reservoirs formation. Regional unconformity and volcanic rocks development were the necessary conditions for basement hydrocarbon reservoir formation. Reservoir quality decided the petroliferous abundance and the scale of petroleum accumulation and its productivity.
