The Wangmushan gold deposit in Zhenghe County is located in the Zhenghe-Dapu NNE-trending faulted belt. The ore bodies lay in the metamorphic rock of Middle-Late Proterozoic Longbeixi Formation and are controlled by the northeastern interformational fractured zone, its useful component mainly include Au, Cu, S, next to Zn, Ag. Studies of the deposit geological characteristics, the deposit-controlling factors, the mineralization material origination and the nature of hydrothermal ore-forming show that the deposit belongs to the type of sedimento-metamorphic-magmatic hydrothermal superimposition. In the same time, through contrasting the characteristics of element combination with Zhilingtou gold deposit in Zhejiang Province, it believes that there is a great prospecting potential to Au and Cu in the deep of the Wangmushan gold orefield.
