摘要
Based on current situations of the petroleum reserves management in China, the authors analyzed basic principles and main characteristics of the petroleum resources/reserves classification system in China as well as its major differences from the petroleum resource management system (PRMS) proposed by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). Through a systematic introduction to the petroleum reserves management system adopted by the PetroChina Company Limited (PetorChina), this paper revealed practical applications of this petroleum reserves management system to Chinese petroleum enterprises, which is of practical significance not only in deepening researches of the petroleum reserves classification theory but also in guiding petroleum exploration, development and production in China.
