The main ore minerals of Manyuan Fe deposit are magnetite, hematite and magnetic hematite, which is in the middle part of Lancang Group Mengjingshan Formation Upper Member. In these strata, there are many intercalations of intermediate-basic volcanic rocks, volcanic tuff. This ore deposit belongs to the typical Fe deposit of volcanic, sedimentary and metamorphic type.
