The standstone reservoir in the Upper Paleozoic Shan₂³ of Yuxingzhuang-Zizhou area is domoninated by quartz sandstone lithoclastic quartz sandstone and lithic sandstone. Through the core observations and thin section analyses, combining with cathodoluminescence X-ray diffraction and scanning electronmicroprobe studies, six types of diagenetic facies are identified in the Shan₂³ Formation in the eastern Ordos Basin. The weak compaction-siliceous cementation facies determined the favorable diagenetic facies belt of the Shan₂³ Formation. High-quality reservoirs in the Shan₂³ Formation are distributed in Zizhou area.
