Rocky desertification mainly formed in the carbonate rock distribution area which made up of dolomite and limestone. The rock desertification incidence of dolomite is lower than limestone. The main reason is: compare with the limestone, the general characters of dolomite are deep weathering color, coarse mineral granule and unevenly distribution, big rigidity and easy to be crack, hole and cranny developed, coarse surface. These characters of dolomite are better for physical weathering into soil, is better for keeping soil and vegetation living, so the rocky desertification incidence is lower.
