摘要

Underground storage of CO₂ could be effective in reducing amount of CO₂ emission from human activities into the atmosphere and thus alleviating the growing problem of global climate change. There are a huge volume of salt water aquifers in the depth of a sedimentary basin which may be used for storing large amount of CO₂. The study shows feasible geological storage of CO₂ in the Songliao Basin with the capacity of CO₂ storage of about 8.96×10⁹ t as many as about 25 times as large as emission amount of the mainland in 2003.
